Omnibus Magazine –
Publication for Toowoomba Grammar School

Visual Direction · Editorial Design · Photography · Print Production Coordination

A biannual print magazine celebrating the life, legacy, and evolving culture of Toowoomba Grammar School. As a flagship communication piece for the school community, the publication needed to strike a balance between tradition and contemporary storytelling — delivered through thoughtful design and high-impact photography.

Creative Contribution

I was responsible for the full creative execution of the magazine, from visual concept through to press. This included leading the layout and typographic styling, directing and capturing hero photography and managing final artwork delivery with the printer.

Deliverables

Magazine Layout – Full editorial design across 80+ pages

Photography – Concept and capture of key imagery, including cover and feature spreads

Print Management – Liaison with external printer to ensure quality and timely delivery

Creative Approach

The creative direction drew on a classic editorial feel. Spacious layouts, refined typography and strong visual pacing, designed to elevate student and staff stories while honouring the school’s heritage. Imagery was treated as storytelling anchors, with natural lighting and authentic composition used to convey a sense of place, pride and identity. Every element was considered to ensure a tactile, collectible result that would resonate with a multigenerational audience.
